Services
- A drop-in center open six days a week - we have established a safe, supervised environment for youth to do their homework, engage in extracurricular activities, and hang out
- Promoting academic excellence - we partner with volunteer groups from local academic institutions such as Northwestern University, DePaul University, and New Trier High School to provide tutoring and mentorship on a weekly basis
- Nutritious meals - we provide food for the 40-50 children in our program after school and on Saturdays
- Enrichment classes - we partner with community members to offer music, sports, and art classes
- Meeting practical needs - we supply bus fare, lunch money, field trip fees, school supplies, uniforms, and winter clothing
- Full day summer programming - we organize tutoring, enrichment activities, leadership training, and non-violent conflict resolution workshops during the summer months to help our children maintain and continue the progress they make during the school year
